Academic Advising
Academic advising is an important component in keeping our students on track towards graduation. Advisors assist students in course selection each semester and help them navigate through their journey while at LSUE. Prior to registration, an advising hold is placed on student accounts so a student must meet with an advisor before registering for classes.
Our goal is to provide services and resources to set students on their best path to graduation!
Advising Resources and Finding My Advisor
Available resources and finding your advisor depends on the type of student you are while at LSUE. Whether you are coming straight out of high school without any college credit hours earned just yet, a student enrolled within a fully online program with our LSU Online partner program, a transfer student from another college with previous hours earned, or a continuing LSUE student with just a few hours left before graduation, our advisors are assigned specifically for you in order to help you with any questions you have along your journey.
Select below which area best describes you:

Dual Enrollment & Academy Students
High School Dual Enrollment and Academy Students will work with the Director of Dual Enrollment and Academy for all academic advising items.
Please see the Dual Enrollment and Academy website for contact information.

Students Who Have Earned < 24 Hours
Students who have earned less than 24 hours of college credit.
Advising appointments allow new students the opportunity to speak with an academic advisor to ensure they are in the right academic program, check that they have submitted all necessary documentation, and register for classes.
Email studentsuccess@lsue.edu with your name and phone number where you would like to be contacted by Student Success within 2-3 business days to schedule an appointment with your advisor.
Your advisor will be at your side all the way to graduation. They will be your eyes and ears on the ground, offering guidance and support. The team is here to offer assistance on registration, scheduling classes and financial aid and will work towards one goal: helping you complete your degree.

Students Who Have Earned 24 or More Hours
Continuing, Transfer, and Re-Entry Students who have earned 24 or more hours of college credit. These hours could have been at LSUE or even from another college.
