LSU Eunice To Showcase Student Research at URSI Symposium
October 29, 2026

EUNICE, La. – LSU Eunice will host its annual Undergraduate Research Summer Institute (URSI) on Friday, November 6 at 12:00PM inside the Dr. Anthony Mumphrey Center. The free event will be in room 126.
Every year, the URSI Symposium highlights research conducted by student scholars alongside their faculty mentors. LSUE offers a rare opportunity for undergraduate students to conduct research in their chosen fields with campus faculty, building skills in critical thinking, scientific inquiry and presenting their findings.
The symposium will feature five presentations exploring respiratory care technology, pediatric airway treatments, the effects of early screen time on teenage development, and learning and memory in zebrafish. Projects include examinations of biphasic cuirass ventilation, customized 3D-printed airway splints and the INSPIRA ART100 extracorporeal support system.
The program is made possible by the LSU Eunice Foundation, with additional support from the Stuller Family Foundation.
