LSUE Continues Growth, Sets Fall Enrollment Record

EUNICE, La. – Louisiana State University Eunice is welcoming another record student population to campus with 4,698 students enrolled for the Fall 2026 semester.  It is the first time in school history that LSUE has a student enrollment of more than 4,000.

LSU Eunice’s fall student enrollment of 4,698 is a 22.92% increase of last year’s then-record enrollment, making it the largest jump in enrollment this year among all higher education institutions in the state of Louisiana.

This fall continues a historic rise for LSU Eunice, with now the three highest fall enrollments in school history coming in consecutive academic years.   In fact, since the Fall 2022 semester, LSU Eunice is the fastest growing two-year institution in the state of Louisiana with its student population increasing 54.6%, nearly double the closest competitor.

In addition to all-time highs in student population, LSU Eunice has a record 45,295 scheduled credit hours this fall semester – a 23.56% increase from one year.  The Fall 2026 enrollment also features university highs in first-time students (1,034), transfer students (458), and preparatory students (1,391).

LSU Eunice’s Dual Enrollment and Academy’s 1,391 students represent a 30.49% increase from last year’s fall enrollment which is also the largest increase in the state.

These numbers come after LSU Eunice set enrollment records in both the fall and spring semester during the 2025-26 academic year, and the Summer 2026 semester featured the highest enrollment in more than two decades.

LSU Eunice recently awarded the most degrees and certificates in school history during Spring 2026 commencement, including a new high for honor graduates.
