LSUE Names Audwin Donatto Vice Chancellor of Business Affairs

EUNICE, La. – LSU Eunice is proud to announce that Audwin Donatto has been recently named the Vice Chancellor of Business Affairs. The Opelousas native has served in an interim capacity in that same role before taking the permanent position.
Donatto has more than 15 years of experience in financial management and higher education administration, having been part of the LSU Eunice staff for nearly eight years in the Business Affairs office.
“Audwin has been an amazing asset for our entire campus community thanks to his leadership and financial acumen,” LSU Eunice Chancellor Dr. Nancee Sorenson said. “He has helped overhaul our Business Affairs team and plays a key role in developing what is a promising fiscal future for LSU Eunice.”
Since arriving at LSU Eunice, Donatto has served in Business Affairs, having progressively gained more responsibilities in the department. Under his leadership, Donatto led several improvements to the department as well as the LSU Eunice campus community. Some of these enhancements include:
- Leading LSUE’s transition to the Workday Student platform, coordinating implementation efforts across academic and administrative divisions
- Enhancing audit readiness and strengthening financial controls, reconciliation processes, and regulatory compliance
- Transforming Bookstore operations by implementing new inventory safeguards, purchasing processes, refund procedures, and financial reporting improvements
- Increasing transparency in budgeting and financial reporting to support more informed decision-making
- Improving cash management and receivables monitoring, resulting in stronger balances and reduced institutional risk
- Strengthening oversight and performance of auxiliary operations through clearer policies, improved accountability, and enhanced reporting
Before joining LSUE, he worked in progressively responsible roles in accounting, business operations, and financial oversight, where he gained deep experience in budgeting, audit preparation, inventory controls, receivables management, and multi-unit financial reporting.
Donatto holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and is currently pursuing his master’s in business administration.
