Donnie Thibodeaux Named Dean of Enrollment Management

Donnie ThibodeauxEUNICE, La. – LSU Eunice is announcing the appointment of Donnie Thibodeaux as the new Dean of Enrollment Management, effective immediately.  Thibodeaux has been a fixture within the LSUE community, working in different capacities on campus since 2004.

Thibodeaux has more than two decades of experience in higher education leadership and student success at LSUE. During his tenure, he has served in several key administrative roles, including Assistant to the Vice Chancellor for Business Affairs as well as Registrar and Director of Admissions.

In his new role as Dean of Enrollment Management, Thibodeaux will oversee all aspects of student recruitment, admissions, registration, and records management. He will continue to serve as the Primary Contact for Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS) and the Certifying Officer for Veterans Benefits, ensuring compliance and support for international students and student veterans.

“Donnie has been a great asset for LSU Eunice, playing a key role in our exponential growth over the last few years,” said Dr. Nancee Sorenson, Chancellor of LSU Eunice. “His leadership, institutional knowledge, and dedication to student service will allow him to excel in this new role.”

Under Thibodeaux’s leadership in the Registrar and Admissions departments, LSU Eunice achieved historic records in enrollment, including all-time highs in headcount, credit hours, and applications processed. He also spearheaded improvements in student financial processes, including the implementation of online payments and tuition payment plans that increased accessibility and convenience for students.

“I’m honored to continue serving the LSUE community in this new capacity,” said Thibodeaux. “Our team is focused on making the enrollment process as seamless and supportive as possible — helping every student reach their educational goals while also finding new avenues to support our local workforce.”

In addition to his various roles on campus, Mr. Thibodeaux has also served as an instructor of business classes on campus.

Thibodeaux holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Louisiana State University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of North Alabama.
