LSUE Nursing Receives Several Nightingale Award Nominations

EUNICE, La. – The LSU Eunice Nursing Department has been nominated for several awards at the upcoming Nightingale Awards, the Louisiana Nurses Foundation recently announced.  The awards will be presented at the 2024 Nightingale Gala on August 31 at L’auberge Casino Hotel in Baton Rouge.

The LSUE Nursing School is a nominee for Undergraduate Nursing School of the Year, while the LSUE staff has four representatives for Nursing Educator of the Year – Barbara Batiste, Marlene Foreman, Braneshea Moore and Dr. Jill Perrin.  Dr. Perrin is also a nominee for Registered Nurse of the Year.

“We are so honored to have our program and talented faculty recognized with the Nightingale Award nominations,” LSU Eunice Director of Nursing Dr. Mae Simoneaux said.  “Our entire department works tirelessly to give our students an extraordinary education and it’s humbling for others to take notice.”

The annual Nightingale Awards and Gala will award 18 different categories in this year’s event.
