Checklist for Returning Nursing Applications

Incomplete Applications will NOT be accepted.

  •  Completed application. Please fill out all blanks and sign where applicable.
  •  Currently have an active application on file with LSUE, with a major of Nursing/Pre-Nursing.
  •  Unofficial transcripts from all institutions attended – even if every course was taken at LSUE.
  •  Proof of payment for the entrance exam (attach copy).
  •  Proof of scheduling the entrance exam with the Testing Center (attach copy).

 

Available Applications 

LPN to ASN Program (Eunice Campus)

Applications for the LPN to ASN nursing program Eunice Campus are now available. The selection process for this cohort will take place in October 2025. Students will enroll in two transition courses starting in January 2026 and, upon successful completion of these courses, will join the third-semester students in August 2026 on the Eunice Campus.

LPN to ASN Program (Lafayette Campus)

Application packets for the LPN to ASN nursing program Lafayette Campus are not currently available. The selection of candidates will occur in May 2026. Those who are accepted will begin two transition courses in August 2026, and upon successful completion will join the third-semester students the following January 2027 on the Lafayette Campus. Please note that the first semester will take place at the Eunice campus, while subsequent semesters are currently held at the Lafayette site, though this location may be subject to change.

Traditional ASN Program (LafayetteCampus)

Application packets for the Traditional Day option are now available. Completed packets must be submitted by October 1. Selection of candidates will take place in October 2025 for a January 2026 start. Please note that, currently, students starting in January 2025 will attend the Lafayette campus. However, these locations are subject to change.

Traditional Evening/Weekend Option

Applications for the Evening/Week option are not currently available. Selection for this program option will be May 2026. All prerequisites must be completed successfully by the end of May 2026.
