Phi Theta Kappa
LSU Eunice's Alpha Sigma Iota chapter of Phi Theta Kappa was established in 1990 and serves students who achieve academic excellence and accept membership into the greatest and largest honor society in the world. To be eligible for membership students must achieve a 3.5 GPA with over 12 completed credit hours.

PTK members have access to 90 million dollars of scholarship funds through PTK competitive scholarships. Additionally, students who transfer to a 4-year school have access to additional scholarship funds.
In 2020, our chapter achieved Five Star Chapter status for the first time in LSU Eunice history. This is the highest honor that a chapter can achieve, signifying the highest levels of excellence, student engagement, and academic research. In 2021 and in 2022, we achieved that status again, and we are looking forward to keeping the excellence going. In April 2023, the Alpha Sigma Iota Chapter was recognized for our College Project, Honors in Action Project, and ranked as the sixth finalist for the Most Distinguished Chapter in the entire international organization at PTK Catalayst.
