Traditional Evening Weekend Option

The Associate of Science Nursing program at Louisiana State University at the Eunice campus and Lafayette Extended Site located in Eunice and Lafayette, Louisiana is accredited by the: Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN).

The Evening Weekend ASN Nursing Program option is located on the LSUE Lafayette Extended Instructional Site. Like the traditional program option, this Evening and Weekend path provides educational opportunities for students to acquire the necessary knowledge, skills, values, and competencies for nursing practice. Students have access to a fully equipped skills lab, computer lab, and student lounge.

Students in the Evening Weekend option engage in a variety of dynamic learning activities including traditional lectures, nursing simulations, group projects, and interactive learning exercises such as escape rooms. Students also utilize a variety of learning platforms and current technology designed to enhance their academic experience and clinical practice.

Classroom and clinical courses are held in the evening and on weekends, providing working students with the flexibility needed to pursue their nursing education while continuing to care for their families. Students and faculty also participate in community activities, holiday celebrations, and volunteer opportunities. Most importantly, students experience a supportive atmosphere that fosters lifelong learning and academic success.
