LSUE Set To Host Cajun Prairie Authors Expo On July 23

EUNICE, La. – Authors from across Acadiana will converge on the LSU Eunice campus on Saturday, July 23 for the first annual Cajun Prairie Authors Expo, it was recently announced.  The LSU Eunice Library will host the free event inside the Dr. Anthony Mumphrey Center beginning at 9:00AM.

The two sessions will include interactive programming for children, readers, and writers.

The children’s portion of the Expo will feature special listening sessions with authors of children’s books followed by fun crafts based on the reading.  There will also be opportunities for kids to create their own books.

Readers will have an opportunity to listen to local authors reading excerpts from their own works.  This will be followed by question-and-answer sessions where you can interact with the authors.

There will be several workshops geared towards writers and aspiring authors throughout the day.  Published authors will also be available to discuss the publication process.  If you are a published author and would like to participate as an exhibition author, please contact Cassie Jobe-Ganucheau at
