Road Map To Spring 2022 Semester

In preparation for the upcoming Spring 2022 semester, LSU Eunice will implement the following protocols in anticipation for the start of classes.

The first day of the Spring 2022 semester will still be held on Tuesday, January 18 with all in-person classes scheduled to meet on campus.  Our classrooms are expected to be back at 100% capacity with in-person classes being recorded so that students who are feeling ill can review coursework virtually.  We also will continue the use of our ‘Daily Symptom Checker’ through LSU.

As of January 5, there is no state issued mask mandate.  However, LSU Eunice strongly suggests that masks be worn inside all buildings and during class for safety precautions.  Masks will be readily available on campus for use.

Over the past year, the LSUE facilities has received several updates to help ensure a safe learning and teaching environment.  Touchless water fountains and fixtures have been installed throughout campus while air filtration systems were placed in rooms.

We also want to encourage our LSU Eunice community to help us fight back against COVID-19 and get vaccinated.  If you are interested in receiving the vaccine, it will be available through the WellSmart Clinic inside the Dr. Anthony Mumphrey Center.  COVID-19 testing can also be accessed through the WellSmart Clinic.  LSU Eunice will also provide regular information for vaccination sites and testing available throughout the semester.

Employees and students will follow current CDC guidelines regarding quarantine following a positive test of self or others in the same household or by exposure to others that test positive.  Those that receive a positive test or have a close contact exposure are required to report such to LSU Eunice.  Students will report to LSUE Student Affairs (stuaff@lsue.edu) and employees report to LSUE Human Resources (hr@lsue.edu).
