EUNICE – LSU Eunice and the Rotary Club of Ville Platte continued its long-standing partnership with the gift of $5,000 towards scholarships for Ville Platte students at LSUE.
The check was presented at the club’s weekly meeting on Tuesday to LSUE Chancellor Dr. Nancee Sorenson and LSUE Foundation director Carey Lawson.
“We are so thankful for our relationship with the Rotary Club of Ville Platte and their generosity,” LSUE Chancellor Dr. Nancee Sorenson said. “It’s scholarships like these that make college a reality for many area students to be able to achieve their dreams and aspirations.”
Ville Platte Rotarian Dr. Henry Buller has headed up the efforts to provide scholarship dollars towards LSUE for now 23 years. The scholarship money goes towards Ville Platte area students currently enrolled at LSUE.
