LSUE IT Policies

Policy Statements (PSs) represent policies of Louisiana State University Eunice. They are subordinate to policies of the University System issued as Permanent Memoranda to the By-Laws and Regulations of the LSU Board of Supervisors to state and federal regulations and statutes. Policy Statements typically originate within one or more of the operating divisions of the University to address policy issues that are of a campus-wide nature. Policy Statements may also be issued to interpret and implement Permanent Memoranda, By-Laws and Regulations of the Board, or pursuant to the requirements of state and federal law.

State of Louisiana OTS Policies, Standards, and Bulletins

The State of Louisiana OTS Chief Information Officer has the responsibility for defining and implementing enterprise security policies, standards, guidelines and best practices for state agencies that are under the jurisdiction of Act 712 of the 2014 Regular Session of the Louisiana Legislature.

  1. Implementing of I.T. standards for hardware, software, and consolidation of services.
  2. Reviewing and coordinating I.T. planning, procurement and budgeting.
  3. Providing oversight for centralization/consolidation of technology initiatives and the sharing of I.T. resources.
  4. Assuring compatibility and connectivity of Louisiana's information systems.
  5. Providing oversight on I.T. projects and systems for compliance with statewide strategies, goals, and standards.
