Accounts and Access

All LSUE Students, Faculty, and Staff are assigned both an LSUE Bengal Account and also a myLSUE Account by the university to access LSUE's online resources.

LSUE Students

Account Creation

Student accounts are automatically created when a student is admitted to LSUE. Admitted students will receive their myLSUE Account information via e-mail to the address provided on the application form.  The myLSUE username, and associated password, is utlized to access myLSUE. 

The myLSUE username is also set as the student's LSUE Bengal Account ID, which can be utlized to access other services on campus such as the campus wireless network, myCourses/Moodle, the many lab computers throughout campus, the Microsoft Office 365 environment, the library Online Databases/EZProxy, etc... 

Passwords are maintained by the student after their initial setup.  The LSUE Bengal Account password will expire every 180 days.  For details on setting a secure password, please visit the Password Best Practices page. 

Email Access

Student email for LSUE is hosted through Google with Gmail.  To set your initial email password, you first need to login to myLSUE and then click on the Email tab.  From there, click the “Reset Password” link underneath the Gmail icon to set your initial password value.

Moving forward, if you forget your email password, you can log back into myLSUE and then click on the Email tab.  From there, select the "Reset Password"  link underneath the Gmail icon to reset your email password value.

Student Access/Password Questions

If you know your myLSUE password and would like to change it to something new, log in to myLSUE, select Personal Info to the right of your name and click Password.

For your LSUE Bengal Account password (access to campus wireless network, myCourses/Moodle, lab computers, Microsoft Office 365, library Online Databases/EZProxy system, etc), you can contact OIT by phone at 337-550-1307, by email at IT@lsue.edu, or by utlizing one of the links below.

Forgot Password (you no longer recall your existing password)

Reset Password (you know your password, but it has expired or you would like to set it to a new value)

When setting a new password, do remember that it must be at least 8 characters and you must utilize at least 3 of the following criteria:

  • Uppercase character(s)
  • Lowercase character(s)
  • Number(s)
  • Special character (!, $, #, %, etc…)

LSUE Faculty and Staff

Account Creation

Faculty and Staff accounts are created upon hire by the University. The myLSUE username, and associated password, is only utlized to access myLSUE. 

For faculty and staff, the myLSUE username is also set as the employee's LSUE Bengal Account ID so these values are one in the same.  The LSUE Bengal Account is utlized to access your computer, email, myCourses/Moodle, the campus wireless network, the Microsoft Office 365 environment, Zoom, and other online resources.

Faculty and Staff Access/Password Questions
