Microsoft Office 365 is a line of subscription services offered by Microsoft, as part of the Microsoft Office product line. LSUE licensing allows installation on up to 5 different devices per user for all students, faculty, and staff. The account is tied to the user, not to any one device, so it allows seamless interaction between working on home devices and on mobile devices.
With Office 365, you can enjoy the following:
LSUE's 365 environment is accessible through https://www.lsue.edu/office.
Office 365 is available to all currently enrolled students and currently employed faculty and staff at LSUE.
Students must be registered and financially clear for the current semester to have access to Office 365. A student is financially cleared if they have completed one of the following: applied their aid in myLSUE, paid their tuition, or signed up for a payment plan. Due to Microsoft's Campus License Agreement (CLA), once a student is no longer enrolled at LSUE, the free subscription license to use Office365 software and access OneDrive cloud based storage ends.
Faculty and staff who have separated or retired are not eligible to retain their free subscription license to Office365 and access to OneDrive for Business.
Some of the products within Office 365 are listed below. Click the product for additional information on each.
LSUE currently enrolled Students, Faculty, and Staff automatically receive a Product Educational License, which allows for only five separate device installations of Office.
For LSUE issued computers utilized by Faculty and Staff, contact OIT for installation.
