MYCOURSES LOG IN

MyCourses is now operational.  Students and faculty must reset their passwords before entering myCourses.  Follow this link to reset the password: https://mycourses3.lsue.edu/login/forgot_password.php.  Use the search function to search for your ID/username or email address.   An email will follow with reset instructions.  Do not attempt to log in to myCourses until you receive the password reset email.  ONLY CLICK THIS LINK ONCE.  Allow at least 15 minutes to receive your email.  Receipt of your password email may be slower than expected due to heavy traffic so please be patient.

IMPORTANT: This password will be used to enter myCourses from this date forward.

 

 

FACULTY STAFF EMAIL

Email is currently working on desktop computers.  There are two ways to get email: desktop client and web brower.

 

  • Web Browser
    • Open web brower and type in web address: https://webmail.lsue.edu and enter LSUE\your-user-name-here and your password.
    • Or visit the facutly staff page on the website and click the email link on the page.

 

  • Outlook Client on Desktop
    • Click on Start Menu and then scroll and find Outlook.
    • Open Outlook
    • On the Welcome dialog box click NEXT
    • On the dialog box asking you to setup a new Outlook account click YES
    • On the Auto Account Setup dialog box, your informaiton should populate automatically.  Click NEXT
    • On the next dialog box to open click FINISH
    • Once opened a dialog box wil open asking about update.  Please click INSTALL UPDATES ONLY and click ACCEPT.

 

NOTE: Outlook is currently only working for hardwired desktops.  Wireless access (laptops and phones) is still limited.

Modular Math classes will resume at 8:00 AM Tuesday, October 29.

 

OPEN ENROLLMENT FOR EMPLOYEE BENEFITS

Reminder to employees that you have until midnight Thursday, October 31, to elect or change benefits in Workday.  Workday is operational.

SERVICES AVAILABLE
Many of the campus internet applications (Moodle/myCourses, myLSUE, etc.) are still not available and work on those are in progress.  If you login directly to Jenzabar CX, please contact OIT.

FACULTY & STAFF FLASH DRIVES AND EXTERNAL DRIVES

All flash drives and external drives MUST be brought to Dr. Renee Robichaux to be scanned. DO NOT use any flash drives or external drives without it being scanned first. Please mark your name on the drive in permanent ink.

 

FACULTY & STAFF LAPTOPS

Faculty and Staff MUST bring laptops to IT to be reimaged.

 

DESKTOP COMPUTERS

If you have a computer on your desk tagged NEW, you can use it. If a computer on your desk is NOT hooked up, DO NOT set the computer up. As you receive a new computer, see the new login instructions below.

 

TECH PODS, SMART CARTS & CLASSROOM PODIUM

These are operational as is. They are not hooked up to the internet and will not be until the computer is replaced. Flash drives can be used to add new instructional material to the pods, podiums, and carts, but DO NOT REMOVE files without checking with the VCAA for instructions.

 

EMAIL

Faculty and Staff email should be operational Monday, but any email received or archived before Wednesday, October 23, is lost.

 

ASSISTANCE ON CAMPUS TOMORROW

A team from the State and LSUE IT will be walking around campus tomorrow, helping with logging into computers.

 

NEW LOG IN PROCEDURE

All network passwords will need to be reset. Passwords must be nine characters in length and include an uppercase, lowercase, a number, and a special character. When logging in to your computer for the first time, please contact Van Reed at 550-1211 for further information.

INTERNET OUTAGE UPDATES

The internet outage continues to affect the campus and numerous systems.

 

LSUE IS OPEN, AND CLASSES WILL CONTINUE AS SCHEDULED, EXCEPT FOR MODULAR MATH SECTIONS

EMERGENCY SERVICES AND TELEPHONE SERVICE
Due to the outage, telephone service on campus has been affected. In an emergency contact LSUE PD at 337-580-0720 or dial 911.  Eunice PD can be reached at 337-457-2626.

MODULAR MATH WILL NOT MEET FOR SCHEDULED CLASSES UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE
Additional meeting times and dates will be added when service is restored to make up time lost during this outage.

MyCOURSES AND MyLSUE
Both myCourses and myLSUE have been affected by this outage.

FACULTY & STAFF
Faculty and staff should report as usual. Contact supervisors for instructions.

ONLINE COURSES
We are aware that not all online courses may be accessible to students and faculty at this time. Alternative arrangements will be put in place so that students will be able to complete courses. Updates to follow.

FINANCIAL AID AND TOPS POSTING
The financial aid posting scheduled for October 23 has been postponed until further notice.

ADVISING
Advising for the spring semester and winter intersession will continue as scheduled next week.  A schedule of classes can be found here.

LSUE TESTING CENTER
The Testing Center is currently unable to provide testing services until further notice. The Testing Center will contact students with tests scheduled.

PROCTORU
Students using ProctorU for online exams should attempt to access their exam at the scheduled testing time. If the exam is not accessible, arrangements will be put into place so that students can complete the coursework when service is restored.
