Road Map to Fall 2020

August 10, 2020

To the LSU Eunice Community,

Over these last five months, many things have changed throughout our area, country and world during the COVID-19 pandemic.  However, one steadying force throughout it all that has been amazing for me to see – the resolve of the LSUE family.  The entirety of our staff, faculty and student body have been positive thinking, nimble-minded and forward-focused.  It is with that sentiment I am pleased to release our Road Map to the Fall 2020 semester.

This Road Map is the product of countless hours of collaboration from our Return to Work Committee.  This collection of staff and faculty was spearheaded by our LSUE Chief of Police Cory Lalonde and gives what we believe is a thorough plan for us all to learn, teach, work and grow in a safe environment.

Our plan as of today is for courses to be offered on campus as well as some hybrid and online formats.  Face coverings will be required in all classrooms and school buildings and there will be some slight changes to how we have typically gone about our day in the past.  These changes, however, we believe will not hinder students from reaching their academic goals.

For us to be successful in this Fall 2020 semester, it will take a group effort.  We have always touted LSU Eunice as a family and I believe we will be able to show that to all of Acadiana over these next few months.

The attached document should answer many of the questions you may have as we get ready for the upcoming semester.  We will also try to answer any others you may have in the days and weeks that follow.

Again, I am so proud of the work WE have all done over these last few months and I can not wait to see all of you on campus soon.
