Instructional Technology Coordinator

Join our exciting, innovative team of Information Technology professionals.  The LSU Eunice Office of Information Technology has been recognized at the state, national, and international levels for its innovative use of technology resources. We are currently seeking applicants for the position of Instructional Technology Coordinator.

The Instructional Technology Coordinator will provide support for various campus wide IT resources in support of the institution's vocational programs. This includes computing laboratories, two-way interactive compressed video classrooms, and multimedia teaching facilities. This individual will also provide training and support for faculty associated with our vocational programs.

The Instructional Technology Coordinator will be able to provide vision and leadership for instructional technology activities; assist in the development of strategic plans for future development; and advise academic and administrative offices of supportive media services available. Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as, a strong technical understanding of traditional and emerging technologies will be expected.

Specific skill requirements include: Thorough knowledge of Windows 7 desktop implementation and use in a highly complex networked environment, windows 2003/2008 Server and Active Directory administration and security; web publishing and design; electronic mail management; network administration and monitoring including switches, routers, VLANS and wireless LANs, bandwidth shaping, etc. Linux and an IP networking experience a plus.

A bachelor's degree in a technology related area with extensive hands-on experience is required. Preference may be given to those with experience in an educational setting.
