Do I have to take the ACT Exam to be admitted?
No. LSU Eunice is an open admissions university. Although taking the exam is helpful in determining your academic placement in mathematics, reading, English, and Science, you may enter LSU Eunice in full standing without taking and submitting ACT exam scores. However, if ACT scores are not submitted, students will be automatically placed in developmental coursework.

What does "open admissions" university mean?
As an open admission university, LSU Eunice accepts all graduates of state-approved high schools, as well as persons holding the G.E.D.

I have accessed the myLSUE registration system and I have a "hold" preventing registration. What must I do?
The "hold" preventing clearance and registration will be listed on your Home tab. Review the "hold" and call the phone number included to take care of the situation causing the hold. If there is no phone number available, contact the LSU Eunice Admissions Office at (337)550-1305 for assistance.

How can I be cleared to register?
First-time students should obtain clearance during orientation. On-campus, continuing students must meet with advisor during posted office hours or at a scheduled appointment. The student must have a completed "trial schedule" to be reviewed and approved by the advisor.

Off-campus students may schedule a meeting with advisor, email or call by phone. Information to be provided to the advisor will be a "trial schedule" of courses wishing to register. The advisor will either approve or reject the course(s) submitted in the myLSUE Advising Worksheet. Any questions or concerns must be brought to the attention of the advisor.

What are the procedures for applying for graduation to receive a degree and/or certificate?
Meet with your advisor and discuss the possibilities of meeting degree, certificate, and/or technical competency area requirements. Your advisor should advise you to complete an Application for Degree or Certificate or Application for TCA.

What is ISO 9002 accreditation?
The LSU Eunice Division of Business and Technology is one of the first academic units in the United States to have its associate degree and certificate programs ISO-9002 accredited. This accreditation signifies that all of these programs meet the standards set by the International Organization for Standardization for comparable businesses and other institutions around the world.
