LSU Eunice offers LEH Summer Teachers Institute

EUNICE - Louisiana State University Eunice will be offering a graduate-level Summer Teacher Institute for Advanced Study on the Beat Generation and its impact on literature, pop culture, politics, and more.

The Institute is funded by a grant from the Louisiana Endowment for the Humanities. Teachers, principals, and librarians are eligible for the four-week class, which will last from June 2 to June 29, with classes meeting Monday through Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to noon.

All participants who complete the course will receive 45 Continuous Learning Units documented by an LEH certificate. Three hours of graduate credit can also be earned. Participants who take the course for graduate credit may apply for a tuition exemption through their local school boards.
