LSU Euncie Open Friday, August 31

Thursday, August 30, 10 a.m.

LSU Eunice will be open Friday (8/31).  Classes resume at 8am. This includes classes at University Medical Center. 

Students at the Learning Center and LSU Alexandria should follow the directions of the LSU Alexandria campus ( ) but should expect to return to class at 8 am Friday (8/31).

Campus to Close Thursday, (8/30)

Wednesday, August 29, 10 a.m.

Due to Hurricane Isaac's slow progress through the state, LSU Eunice will close Thursday (8/30).  This includes classes at the LCRP, LSU Alexandria and at University Medical Center.

Update of LSU Eunice classes at LCRP and LSUA

Tuesday, August 28, 10 a.m.

LSU Eunice classes at the Learning Center for Rapides Parish and at LSU Alexandria are cancelled beginning Tuesday (8/28) at 2:30pm and will remain cancelled Wednesday (8/29) and Thursday(8/30). Classes resume Friday at 8 a.m. in Alexandria.

The main campus (Eunice) and classes at University Medical Center will resume Thursday (8/30) at 8 a.m.

LSU Eunice to Close Tuesday at 3, All Day Wednesday

Monday, August 27, 1:20 p.m.

 LSU Eunice officials have announced that the campus will close at 3 p.m. on Tuesday (August 28) and remain closed through Wednesday (August 29).  Please monitor this page for updates on Thursday.

This includes courses at the LCRP and LSU Alexandria.

Bengal Village will remain open to residents at this time.

Any future decisions regarding campus closures will be announced through the news media, LSU Eunice's Emergency Alert System, and this page.

All classes, public events and related activities at LSU Eunice are suspended and all campus offices will close at 3 p.m Tuesday.


LSU Eunice monitoring weather conditions related to Tropical Storm Isaac

The LSU Eunice continues to monitor weather conditions related to Tropical Storm Isaac.

Currently all campus activities remain scheduled; there are no cancellations to report.

A test of the emergency alert system  was run at 8:34 a.m.  If you did not received a text alert, please check your information under the emergency alert tab in your myLSUE.

Should weather conditions warrant cancellations or closures, information will be provided via the Emergency Alert System, the university’s website on this page, and its official Facebook page at
