Adley has served the northwest Louisiana district since 2013 and has been president of Adley Consultants since 2012. Adley Consultants provides natural gas consulting services to Black Belt Energy Gas District.
Adley is a graduate of Louisiana Tech University and is a Vietnam veteran having served in the Marine Corps. In 1977, he entered politics and was elected to the Bossier City Council. In 1979, he was elected to the Louisiana House of Representatives, and was recognized as Legislator of the Year in 1993.
Also, in 1993, Adley became president and CEO of Pelican Gas Management, Inc. which managed natural gas supplies for the Louisiana Municipal Natural Gas Authority, which comprises of 68 cities, towns and gas utilities in Louisiana.
In 2003, he was elected to the Louisiana Senate. Adley has served on numerous boards and committees, including chairing the Senate Transportation, Highways, and Public Works Committee and the Louisiana Senate Veteran's Affairs Committee. He has also been a committee member for the Energy Council, the Southern Legislative Conference and Southern States Energy Board.
Adley and his wife, Claudia, have one son. They are members of Benton United Methodist Church, and Senator Adley enjoys hunting, football and commodity trading.
Over 100 students are candidates for graduation. Included are students who completed degree requirements during the summer as well as the fall semester graduates.
LSU Eunice offers associate degrees in liberal arts, science, business information technology, criminal justice, education, fire science, general studies, management, nursing, radiologic technology, and respiratory care.
