Louisiana State University at Eunice welcomes LAIR to the Cajun Prairie for
 their annual two day conference to be held on March 18th and 19th.

 
The conference will be held in the Acadian Center which is the LSUE Student Union.  The Acadian Center is located on your left as you enter the campus though the main entrance.  Look for the scrolling marquee at the drive entrance.  The campus will be on Spring break and therefore, parking should be plentiful!  Registration will be held in the North commons area adjacent to the conference center.

Registration fees are $35 per person and include all conference materials, 2 refreshment breaks, and the opening luncheon on Tuesday, March 18.

We have identified a hotel with single and double occupancy guest rooms available at the in-state conference rate of $70 per night, plus tax if applicable. 
Due to the way the rooms are being held you will not be able to reserve a room online.  Please contact the hotel directly by phone at 337-457-2800 and identify yourself as being with the LAIR conference when making reservations.  Our reserved block of rooms will be held until March 1st. Please make your reservations early.

We are looking for proposals from IR Offices in Louisiana that are willing to share best practices. We invite proposals and best practices on the Online Registration Form


Dining and Meals


The conference registration includes two refreshment breaks, and the opening luncheon on Tuesday, March 18. We will provide everyone with a variety of options for dinner Tuesday night as a group or individually. 

 

We have arranged to have space reserved at D.I.'s Cajun Food and Music on Tuesday night for those that wish to sample the local culture.  The food is excellent and they offer live music and dancing.  Please indicate on your registration if you would like to attend so that they can hold a sufficient number of tables.  Menus and additional information can be found on the web at www.discajunrestaurant.biz.

Directions

 

From Lafayette

Take exit 80 for LA-13 toward Eunice/Crowley and turn right onto LA-13 N.  Proceed 15.7 miles and turn left onto LA-3123 [Tiger Lane].  At Intersection with LA-755 turn right onto LA-755 [LSUE Drive]. Continue around the large curve and enter the campus and the main entrance.  There is a large scrolling marquee to the left of the entrance.  Parking is available in the large lot to your left.  The Acadian Center is adjacent to this lot.

From Lake Charles

Take exit 80 for LA-13 toward Eunice/Crowley and turn left onto LA-13 N.  Proceed 15.7 miles and turn left onto LA-3123 [Tiger Lane].  At Intersection with LA-755 turn left onto LA-755 [LSUE Drive].  Continue around the large curve and enter the campus and the main entrance.  There is a large scrolling marquee to the left of the entrance.  Parking is available in the large lot to your left.  The Acadian Center is adjacent to this lot.
 

From Alexandria

Take I-49 S via the ramp to US-167 S/Opelousas and proceed 23.5 miles south.  Take exit 61 for US-167 toward Meeker/Turkey Creek and turn right onto US-167 S proceed 10.2 miles to Turkey Creek.  Continue on LA-13 [Veteran Memorial Hwy]  Follow LA-13 South 27.4 miles.  At second traffic signal turn right onto LA-91/W Maple Ave.  Follow LA-91 to Traffic Signal and turn left onto LA-755 [LSU-E Dr]. Continue to follow LA-755.  The campus is approximately 1 mile down LSUE Drive.  There is a large scrolling marquee to the left of the entrance.  Parking is available in the large lot to your left.  The Acadian Center is adjacent to this lot.

From Opelousas

Take US 190 West into Eunice. Turn left at S 1st St/S CC Duson Dr/LA-13 [2nd Traffic Signal] and proceed 0.5 miles to next signal.  At traffic signal turn right onto LA-91/W Maple Ave.  Follow LA-91 to Traffic Signal and turn left onto LA-755 [LSU-E Dr]. Continue to follow LA-755.  The campus is approximately 1 mile down LSUE Drive.  There is a large scrolling marquee to the left of the entrance.  Parking is available in the large lot to your left.  The Acadian Center is adjacent to this lot.
