Geno Delafose Fan Appreciation Party

October 9, 2004    Northwest Community Center Pavilion Eunice, LA

Geno Delafose and French Rockin' Boogie Band with Guest Musicians

Once again, the weather did not cooperate, so the 8th annual Geno Delafose Fan Appreciation Party had to be moved from Geno's Double D Ranch to the Northwest Community Center Pavilion in Eunice. The rain had mostly stopped by the time things got under way about 5 p.m., but a light mist began to fall later in the evening.

Geno and French Rockin' Boogie began playing about 5:30 and kept going until after 7, when guest musicians came on stage.  The large dancing area stayed full, and meanwhile everyone was treated to a delicious Creole meal courtesy of Geno and his family.  Music, food, dancing in a comfortable, easygoing atmosphere with a great crowd of all ages: it was a priceless experience offered free from Geno to his fans.

Photos on this page also include the closing when Geno was joined on stage by his mother JoAnn Delafose, the rest of his family, and his friends who helped out during the evening.
