What is Developmental Education?

A developmental approach to education involves looking at the whole person and helping each student achieve their goals. The program is based upon successful methods of instruction. Students have access to proven policies, courses, and services that strengthen basic skills necessary for success in college.

Mission Statement

The mission of the Pathways to Success program is to afford access to a better quality of life for academically underprepared students through education and personal development using best practices in the field of developmental education.

Who qualifies for Pathways to Success?

Students who score a composite score of 15 or below on the ACT, or who do not have an ACT score, are automatically enrolled in Pathways and may not opt out of the program. Other students may request admission into the program by contacting the Director of Developmental Education at 337-550-1433 or in Manual Hall room 207.
